Richard Turner – Co-Founder

Yorkshire's answer to a question nobody asked

A lawyer, with an MBA and a Diploma in Management Consulting.

He has provided management consulting to some of the UK’s biggest law firms, started and acquired a couple of law firms and was (briefly) General Manager of a Rugby League club at one point.

Annoyingly persistent, often just annoying, Richard challenges himself and those around him to “think differently”, starting from the impossible or just plain stupid and working backwards. He loves an analogy, particularly if it involves cars, and he can often be found asking “why” or, “but what if we could?”

Chris McDonald

Sales and growth, usually through data

With a background in sales, law firm management and debt recovery, Chris went on to found, build, scale and exit a data business to Call Credit.

He has subsequently built a number of businesses including most recently the NXD Team and NXD Family Office, bringing a wealth of connections and "off market" opportunities to high net worth investors.

Stuart Brown

Investment, pitchdecks and fundraising

An engineer at heart, Stuart has spent the last 10 years using those skills to build the best teams in startups and scale ups. From refining a pitchdeck, analysing gaps in the operational team, through to spotting the right investor and putting the client on the right road, whether its the Road to Seed, Road to Series A or Road to Exit, his connections and black book are unfathomable.

Rob Ashall

Corporate lawyer (and frustrated FD)

A background as a corporate lawyer means Rob is the one to structure a deal or solve an intractable problem.

If it's happened, he's probably seen it, and found a way around it. A refreshingly commercial approach to law, Rob is most likely to say "never confuse your own risk appetite for the client's".
